Adaptivity

RCUBE can be programmed so that, for a given interval, several possible output links can be assigned to an input link. Therefore, if the default output link is busy, RCUBE routes the packet via an alternative output link unless all the possible outputs are busy.

Adaptivity is especially usefull for :

bandwith increase (links can be grouped to form a wide logical link with high capacity).
avoiding packet stall because of link failure.
avoiding hot spots by providing auxiliary routes.
