Internal parallel loop back

In order to ease as much as possible the functional test of RCUBE, the test of R3P can be done without using the HSLs. Data can be sent to R3P through the parallel port 0 or 1. These data can flow through every link if the routing table are correctly programmed and the parallel loop back mechanism is activated on the SMI. The figure 6.1 shows an exemple of the test method.

The parallel loop back mechanism is activated in seven SMIs (macro 1,2,...,7). Data are sent into R3P by the parallel input of link 0. The routing tables are loaded so that the data follow the path running through SMI1,SMI2,...,SMI7 to be finally available on the parallel output of port 0.

For clarity, the parallel port 1 is not represented on the figure. Two parallel ports are required because when parallel port 0 is used, SMI0 and HSL0 are not tested.
