When the network is adaptive, PCI-DDC must count the received packet for each message, using a specific structure in memory called List of Received Message. It contains the Received Message Descriptors presented page . The LRM Base Address is the lowest address of the list. The current Message Identifier is used as an index in the LRM. The actual size of the LRM is defined by the software. This defines a maximum value for the Message Identifier that must be respected by the software (there is no hardware verification of this maximal value).

List of Received Message Base Address
Since the descriptor is 4 bytes length, the two lowest bits of the
Base Address are 0 and the Message Identifier has to be multiply by 4 before
to be added with the Base Address.
