Since a message is in the virtual memory, it is usually fragmented in physical memory, and therefore must be split in pages before transmission. From PCI-DDC point of view, a page is a continuous space in the physical local memory, which contains data that have to be written in a continuous space into the physical remote memory. Therefore, a message is a list of one or several pages.
