Configuration phase

Prior to any use of RCUBE, an initialization phase is necessary to load the configuration registers. This phase must be done before the serial link calibration phase. Hence, signal nreset must be active during the configuration phase.

The following informations must be loaded :

• the bounds tables,
• the selection tables,
• the priority tables,
• the header length table,
• the header deletion table.

RCUBE includes :

• for each link :
  • 8 16-bit bounds registers (since 2 byte headers are allowed). Each 16-bit bounds register is physically divided in 2 8-bit registers,
  • 8 8-bit selection registers,
  • 8 8-bit priority registers
• one 8-bit headerdeletion register
• one 8-bit headerlength register.
